564 West Randolph was originally built as two buildings. The west side was built in 1907, designed by architects Huehl & Schmidt for owner Frank H. Ruprecht. Huehl & Schmidt are best known for designing the Medinah Temple at 600 North Wabash. Frank Ruprecht was owner of Ruprecht Company, a meat wholesaler that still exists in the West Loop today. Records are unclear as to the date of construction and use of the east building, although it was likely constructed after 1912 and before 1928. Today, the building operates as one building with floor plates of approximately 13,500 square feet.
